A native of Portland, Oregon, Emily Erbin has always been driven by a love
for teaching and language. Her first experience in the field was working at
a Spanish immersion school during her undergraduate years. Following her
graduation from Linfield University in 2016, Emily spent three incredibly
rewarding years in Madrid, Spain, teaching English to students across the
elementary grades.

In 2020, she transitioned back to Oregon, teaching middle school Spanish
while earning her Master of Arts in Teaching and her Oregon's Teaching
License, before spending the last four years as a third-grade teacher in
Portland, Oregon.

Emily recently moved to Redmond, Washington, to be closer to her partner and family. When not in the
classroom, Emily loves to spend time with her cat, Lolita, cook new recipes, and be outdoors. Emily is
honored to join the Les Lilas family, where she is eager to collaborate with a team committed to
bilingual education, nurture curious, critical thinkers, and help students become compassionate citizens
of the world around them.
