Through our partnership with OFALycée, Les Lilas is proud to offer a unique French Middle School Continuation Program designed for bilingual and francophone students who wish to continue developing their French language, literacy, and cultural knowledge while attending their local school.
This innovative hybrid program provides academic continuity in French while allowing students to thrive in their American school environment.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE
Weekly Schedule
Saturday Mornings
32-week academic year
Each week students receive:
- 1 hour 30 minutes of French Language Arts
- 45 minutes of History & Geography
Hybrid Learning Model
Students gather in person at Les Lilas while instruction is delivered live by experienced OFALycée teachers.
This model combines:
- Live instruction from French educators
- In-person learning community
- Small-group interaction
- Academic coaching and support
ACADEMIC SUPPORT & FAMILY COMMUNICATION
Families benefit from:
- Regular assessments
- Trimester report cards
- Parent-teacher conferences
- Ongoing communication regarding student progress

EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY
This program was created to support students navigating a bilingual and international educational journey.
Rather than replicating a traditional French collège experience, the goal is to provide a sustainable, engaging, and academically rigorous pathway that complements a student's primary school experience while preserving strong French language and cultural foundations.

OFALycée is a recognized French educational organization serving bilingual students worldwide.
Through this partnership, OFALycée:
- Provides French and History-Geography teachers
- Oversees academic instruction
- Produces report cards
- Conducts parent conferences
- Supports student progress and educational continuity
