Care of Self
At Le Nid at Les Lilas, we are focused on helping toddlers achieve physical independence. This includes helping them learn how to dress themselves and maintain their own personal hygiene.
A key milestone for physical independence for children at this age is learning how to use the toilet. This skill requires the child to develop muscle control and an awareness and desire to remain dry. This is a natural and gradual process that can start as early as 18 months.
At Les Lilas, we support this process by observing each child's individual needs and partnering closely with parents to help every child develop the skills necessary for toileting independence.
